The child’s mind is often over-stimulated by the hectic pace of today’s lifestyle, and yoga can counter these stresses thru playful postures.  Yoga at an early age has many benefits including confidence building, promotes balance and coordination, improves focus, develops calmness, sharpens awareness and helps cope with stress and big emotions.

Kim Spires founded Inspire Kids Yoga, a children’s Yoga and Mindfulness program in 2010.  She quickly became the South Shore’s beloved Children’s Yoga instructor bringing her program to area schools and youth groups. Kim currently teaches about 500 students per month as well as coaches parents and teachers to bring yoga and mindfulness into their own home or classrooms.

In this introductory yoga class we will learn basic yoga postures and skills as we work toward a vinyasa flow. Balance work, handstands, and splits will all be part of the challenge and fun! At the end of each class we will practice savasana, the quiet pose, and even try some meditation. All in a fun girly way! No prior experience necessary.

Please make sure you child can attend before registering and reserving a spot in fairness to all.  If your child is unable to attend at any point, please remove them from the list to open up the spot to someone else.

  • Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing.
