ACL Prevention

Select is now working to provide ACL Prevention Exercises to our players! Randy Jean will be presenting on ACL injuries in the female athlete.

His presentation will touch upon basic anatomy, rehabilitation, return to play requirements and preventative measures.  The presentation will also discuss the female athlete and how they are at increased risk for ACL injury as opposed to their male counterparts.  It will be a combination of lecture and active hands-on learning to keep the athletes engaged.

We believe this is important for the girls especially since this is the age they are most susceptible to this type of injury. Teams who focus on ACL Prevention tend to sustain 30% fewer injuries than the other teams. Most importantly teams who practice the prevention methods and used exercises such as those above had an amazing 67% fewer ACL injuries.
